ISLAMABAD, Dec 16 (APP): President of Pakistan Institute for Policy Research and Impact (PIPRI) Nadir Mumtaz urged for comprehensive strategy to tackle the issue of air pollution that leaded to several diseases.
The Air Quality Index (AQI) was developed up to a level that increased risk of serious health problems including irregularity in blood flow, cause stroke including other heart disease, lung disease and cancer, Press release said.
He said that international organizations has ranked Pakistan among the list of those countries which air quality index was worsen that resulted in unpredictable weather patterns.
He said that they have launched a project on improving renewable energy to increase the efficiency and integration of renewable sources in-order to maximize energy production while minimizing environmental impacts with respect to cost effectiveness.
